FIAT/IFTA World Conference 2025

FRAME is 15 years old!

FRAME is a training programme organized by INA since 2010 with the support of FIAT/IFTA and EBU Academy, and co-funded by the European Commission

In 15 years, 31 training sessions have been organised, gathering more than 300 participants and 200 speakers from more than 45 countries.

A lot has happened in 15 years: training formats have evolved, from one two-week training session to a comprehensive programme comprising 2 onsite and online training sessions, workshops, a mentoring programme and an e-learning platform; trainees have become trainers; the lockdown has passed through and led us to online training; training sessions were hosted in Ireland, the Netherlands, Romania or Italy; projects led by junior professionals have been supported...

Sharing and transmission are at the heart of FRAME and are part of its DNA. Sharing between peers, between institutions, transmission between experienced and junior professionals, between countries around the world, between former and new participants....

We propose to take the opportunity of this anniversary and of the lessons learned from FRAME to analyse together the issues of training in the audiovisual archives sector, for individuals, companies and professional associations.

In this FRAME Expert session, we first propose you to look back on this 15-year adventure through the testimonies (onsite and online) of former participants, speakers and project managers, to discover the role that FRAME has played in their professional lives. Roundtable: We need to talk about training

Then, we will bring together professionals from different institutions, professional associations and partners of FRAME, and involve the audience in the reflection trough a participative animation, to question together the issues of transmission, sharing practices and training in the world of audiovisual archives.
